Dear Blues Fans,

It’s been a while since I’ve refreshed this letter, and it is way past time.  We’ve been a busy bunch these past few years.  Since we reorganized as the Rogue Blues Society we have reached out to more blues fans across a wider geographic area.  And we have been growing!

Our twice-monthly Blues Jams at the Grape Street Bar and Grill have been drawing steady crowds, with new host bands joining the old standbys.  And we’re drawing new jammers from all across the valley to join in the good times and musical creativity.

And or course we have our annual Blues Revue, which has been a great post-Covid success with festivities at Plaisance Ranch in the Applegate and Walkabout Brewing Company in Medford.  Check the Events page to see what we have in store this year.

In just the past few months we’ve expanded our Board and, thanks to our new Membership Chair, our membership is expanding as well.  We are on sound financial footing which means we are poised for even more growth – and for more great blues music for all of you to enjoy.

Of course we always can use more help, both with the annual Blues Revue and for the month-to-month running of a thriving non-profit organization. If you would like to get involved in keeping the blues alive and well in the Rogue Valley, please email me at roguebluessociety@gmail.com.

Thanks again for your support!

Linda Huffman, President

Rogue Blues Society

PS – Your support of the Rogue Blues Society also helps keep the blues alive all around the world as we are member organization of The Blues Foundation, based in Memphis, Tennessee.
